Rev. Chris Okotie washes hands off Emeka Ike’s marital woes

The head preacher at the Household of God, Rev. Chris Okotie, has dismissed the allegations made by Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, linking the clergy to his marital woes.

Okotie, speaking through is spokesperson, Mr. Ladi Ayodeji, told Encomium that the actor’s allegations “has no basis, and totally false.” 

 He maintained that Emeka Ike is neither a member of the church, nor had he approached the church to wade into the marital crisis with his wife.

Ayodeji said, “There’s no iota of truth in what Emeka (Ike) is saying. There are procedures for settling any matter between spouses.”

Okotie’s spokesperson, who maintained that the church will not join issues with the actor, wondered why whenever people have problems, especially with their spouses, they bring in a third party “because the story will be more sensational and draw sympathy.”
