The senator had promised to pay the school fees and the young man has confirmed that his school fees as well as a generous pocket money allowance has been paid by the commonsense advocate senator.

Ben Bruce is known for his generosity and is the founder of Ben Bruce Foundation, which among other things cater for survivors of rape and abuse; pay fees of less-privileged children and also provide start-up capital for their parents.
Earlier this year, he pledged to donate part of his wardrobe allowance as a senator to the unpaid workers in Osun State. However, his gesture attracted condemnation from the Rauf Aregbesola led government of the state, which urged Ben Bruce elected on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to stay clear of the All Progressives Congress, APC-controlled state.
